Is TCG Machine legit?
Yes, TCG Machine is a real app, and it's in free beta, so here is exactly where it stands. I'm TheCollinsGaming, a League of Legends streamer, and I built it for my own channel under TCG Digital, a registered Australian business name with an ABN. It's free during the beta, it works from recording files you hand it, and nothing gets posted until you approve it.
You're right to check. A new tool asking to look at your gameplay recordings should have to earn some trust, so this page answers the questions people actually ask, in plain words, including the parts that aren't flattering.
The short answers
- Is it safe? It runs on your Windows PC and works from your own recordings. Your recordings and finished clips are not uploaded to TCG Machine.
- What does it access? The recording files you give it, and the accounts you choose to post to.
- Is it free? Yes during the beta.
- Who made it? Me, TheCollinsGaming, through TCG Digital.
Where it stands today
TCG Machine is in free beta. The only place to get it is the beta on tcgmachine.app: sign up, confirm your email, and the download link comes with your key. A "TCG Machine download" anywhere else isn't from me, so check that the address says tcgmachine.app. The download page explains what to expect.
The beta form asks for your email, your name or handle, your GPU model, and your consent to be emailed. It doesn't ask for a card, a password or any payment. Legit and finished are different things, and I'd rather tell you which one this is.
Is TCG Machine safe?
Here's what it does with your stuff, as far as I can put it plainly.
- It runs on your PC. Finding highlights, cutting the clips, rendering them and the review screen all happen on your Windows machine.
- Your recordings stay with you. Your recordings and finished clips are not uploaded to TCG Machine.
- One part leaves your PC. AI titles and descriptions use an online service. Each request sends text only: the transcript of the moments the app flagged (with timings), the champion you're playing, the name of the session folder, and your licence key so the monthly allowance can be counted. No video, no audio and no screenshots go with it. Requests go through a TCG Machine server and on to Claude, made by Anthropic.
- No tracking. The app doesn't send crash reports or usage analytics. This site does not use analytics. The beta form's Cloudflare Turnstile check relies on cookies and local storage in your browser.
I'm one person, not a security company, so I'm not going to tell you it's bulletproof. What I can do is tell you exactly what it touches, which is the next section. The full version is on the privacy page.
What does TCG Machine access?
- Your recording files. MKV or MP4 files you drop in, from OBS, Streamlabs or any software that saves them. It reads the kill and assist counter on your League scoreboard, and where your webcam sits, from that video.
- Your YouTube account, if you choose to schedule there. That sends the clip you approved. Facebook and Instagram open Meta Business Suite, and TikTok is a manual upload, so you finish those posts yourself.
- The internet, for titles and descriptions. Setup and processing the video on your PC don't need a connection.
It never touches League itself. It only looks at the video you recorded after the match, so there's nothing running inside the game.
Is it free?
During the beta, yes. The download is free, and processing on your PC is free. AI titles and descriptions use a licence with a monthly allowance, and that part runs online. Pricing after the beta will be announced before launch, so I'm not going to make up a number here. The pricing page has the current position.
Who made it?
TCG Machine is a product of TCG Digital. TCG Digital is my registered Australian business name, with ABN 15 486 575 289, and you can look the ABN up yourself. I'm TheCollinsGaming, a League streamer who ran out of hours.
I was recording hours of League and only getting a post or two out each week, because finding, cutting and captioning one good fight can take longer than the fight did. I'm not an engineer by trade and I work a full time job, so I built the machine the slow way, one broken thing at a time. The build log shows every bug and fix, including the ones that make me look bad.
You can find me on YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. My professional profile is on LinkedIn. Or email hello@tcgmachine.app and ask me anything. More on the About page.
How to check it for yourself
- Look at the channels. The footer links to every TheCollinsGaming channel. They're real, and they're where the clips go.
- Read the build log. It's the honest record of what broke and what I changed, with real numbers.
- Read the privacy page. It says what the app sends, and it says what I haven't published yet, like how long the AI provider keeps requests.
- Ask me. Email hello@tcgmachine.app. A real person reads it.
What I can't promise
- Results for your channel. I went from 1 to 2 posts a week to 2 posts a day on my own channels. That's my result, not a promise for yours. See what it did for TheCollinsGaming.
- Perfect clips. A clip is only as good as the moment, and you review every one.
- Other games or other computers. It's League of Legends and Windows today. The site doesn't list a Mac or Linux version.
- A final price. It's free in the beta, and the price after is still to be announced.
You focus on the creative part, we bring it to life. If you want to see it for yourself, join the beta, or read how it works.
Frequently asked questions
Is TCG Machine legit?
Yes, TCG Machine is a real app made by TheCollinsGaming under TCG Digital, a registered Australian business name with an ABN. It's in free beta, so what exists today is the beta for testers who sign up, and this site. You can check the channels, the build log and the privacy page yourself.
Is TCG Machine safe?
TCG Machine runs on your Windows PC and works from your own recording files. Your recordings and finished clips are not uploaded to TCG Machine. The one part that leaves your PC is text for AI titles and descriptions. I'm one person, not a security company, so I'd rather tell you exactly what it touches than call it bulletproof.
Is TCG Machine a scam?
No. The beta is free, and the form asks for your email, name or handle, GPU model and consent, never a card or a password. If you see a TCG Machine download anywhere other than tcgmachine.app, it isn't from me.
Is TCG Machine a virus or malware?
The beta installer is real and you get the link by email after you sign up, so you can scan the file yourself before you run it. Expect two warnings, because TCG Machine is new and in early testing. Windows may show an "unknown publisher" warning the first time you install, because the beta installer isn't signed yet. And when you connect YouTube, Google will show an "unverified app" screen, because Google hasn't reviewed the app yet. Both are expected, and the FAQ explains each one. If a file didn't come from the link I emailed you, don't run it. The download page shows exactly what each screen looks like and what to click.
What does TCG Machine access on my PC?
The MKV or MP4 recording files you give it, and nothing else on its own. It reads the kill and assist counter on your League scoreboard, and where your webcam sits, from that video. It needs the internet for titles and descriptions, not for setup.
Does TCG Machine upload my recordings or clips?
No. Your recordings and finished clips are not uploaded to TCG Machine. When you schedule a post, the clip you approved goes to YouTube Shorts on the account you connected.
What data does TCG Machine send to the AI service?
Text only. Each request has the transcript of the moments the app flagged with timings, the champion you're playing, the name of the session folder, and your licence key. No video, no audio and no screenshots. It goes through a TCG Machine server to Claude, made by Anthropic. See privacy.
Does TCG Machine use my webcam or microphone live?
No. It works from recording files you give it, not from a live feed. It looks at where your webcam sits in the recording so it can build the facecam split.
Does TCG Machine post without asking me?
No. You review, change what you want and approve before anything goes out. YouTube can be scheduled here. Facebook and Instagram open Meta Business Suite. TikTok is a manual upload.
Does TCG Machine send crash reports or track usage?
No. The app doesn't send crash reports or usage analytics. This site does not use analytics. The beta form's Cloudflare Turnstile check relies on cookies and local storage in your browser. See privacy.
Is TCG Machine free?
Yes during the beta. The download is free, and processing on your PC is free. AI titles and descriptions use a licence with a monthly allowance, and pricing after the beta will be announced before launch.
Do I have to pay to join the beta?
No. The beta form doesn't ask for payment. It asks for your email, your name or handle, your GPU model and your consent to be emailed about the beta, plus a few optional details.
